Nutrition:
Bee propolis is a natural resin-like substance produced by honeybees from tree buds, sap, and other plant exudates that bees use to provide stability for their hives and protect them from bacteria, fungi, and parasites. Bee propolis is rich in valuable flavonoids, phenolic acids, vitamins (including numerous B vitamins, vitamin C and vitamin E) and minerals such as magnesium, calcium and potassium.
Health Benefits:
Immune Support
Studies suggest that bee propolis may have immunomodulatory effects, allowing it to both stimulate and suppress the immune response. Bee propolis can support the bodies defence systems, protect the body from viruses, help reduce inflammation and may even have anti-cancer properties. Moreover, green bee propolis contains a unique phenolic acid called Artepillin C. Clinical studies suggest that this phenolic acid can provide particularly powerful support for the immune system.
Antioxidant and Anti-inflammatory Action
The high flavonoid and phenolic acid content of bee propolis allows it to provide potent antioxidant action that helps to protect cells from harmful oxidative stress, as well as anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial effects.
May Provide Allergy Relief
Numerous preclinical studies have found that bee propolis may provide relief from allergic inflammation, asthma, allergic rhinitis, and food allergy. It has been proposed that these anti-allergic effects may be linked to both the immunomodulatory capabilities of bee propolis and its flavonoid and cinnamic acid content.
History:
The use of bee propolis dates back to ancient Egypt, Greece and Rome, as well as traditional Chinese medicine. Bee propolis has been used to provide various health benefits throughout history, including to boost immunity, support longevity, and prevent infections in wounds aiding their recovery.

The typical use of bee propolis depends on the health goals you are trying to achieve.
