Enzyme Myth: All Enzymes are destroyed by Stomach Acid!
This myth states that taking enzyme supplements should be in enteric-coated capsules otherwise they are a waste of time and money because the enzymes, being proteins, are denatured (destroyed) by the acid in the stomach.
This myth is simply not true, modern enzymes which are used in our products can work in a pH range of 2 to 9 with no loss of activity.
If the capsule is enteric-coated there is actually a problem as many of the enzymes need to start working in the stomach and not the small intestine which is the case with enteric-coated enzyme products.
